This dynamic, 25 g. drive will provide 340 g. of thrust, at 4.8 Amps continuous. On three lithium polymer cells, the MSYS-300HT turns up 7,600 rpm, using a 9 x 4 prop. The motor has a diameter of 25.6 mm., a length of 17.5 mm. (body only) and a shaft diameter of 3 mm. A prop adaptor for 3 mm shafts is recommended. The motor is rear mounted.
The Skyhooks 20 Amp Controller, for sensorless motors, is recommended for this motor. We also suggest that the speed controller be placed in the air stream or that cooling air be supplied for it in flight.

This motor is a 25 g. thrust monster. Drawing between 7 and 8 Amps continuous, it runs on 2 or 3 lithium polymer cells, and gives 400 grams of thrust, turning a 5 x 3 prop at 21,000. With a 6 x 3 prop or 320 g. of thrust at 13,500 rpm. The motor has a diameter of 25.75 mm., a length of 30.5 mm. (including shaft) and a shaft diameter of 2.3 mm. A prop adaptor for 2.3 mm shafts is recommended. With 8:1 gearing (GWS SPEED 300-D box) and a 9" x 5" prop, this unit is capable of providing 625 g. of static thrust. The drive is adaptable to small ducted fan applications, such as the GWS EDF55. Some enlargement of the motor housing would be required.

The MSYS-524 propulsion sets, except for the 524-1 and 524-2, consist of the Micro DC 5-2.4 coreless motor with an appropriate gear head and a steel output shaft having a 2 mm dia.
The new, MSYS-524-3, based on the DC5-2.4 coreless motor, with a gear ratio of 5:1 has built in lug style mounts. The frame is constructed of fiberglass reinforced plastic that has been CNC machined. The 524-4 AND 524-5 drives are available in 8:1 and 6.7:1 gear ratios are both based on the DC5-2.4 coreless motor. These drives come in kit form and must be assembled by the customer. They come with a double ball bearing output shaft, 2 mm dia., and are of the open gear type. |
